Founded in 1949 by retired circus performers, Show Folks preserves Sarasota’s deep ties to circus families and traditions. Although it is a private organization and not a visitor attraction, it remains an important part of the living community that helped make Sarasota a lasting home for circus history, fellowship, and storytelling.
